Who We Are

Little More About 1825

A colonization law passed by the Mexican government on March 25, 1825, established colonization requirements opening the Texas frontier to the first Anglo settlers. In the years that followed, Empresario Sterling C. Robertson introduced 600 families into Robertson's Colony, an area in the heart of Texas about 100 miles wide. In exchange for a small fee, settlers were given up to 4,428 acres of pasture land and 177 acres of farmland. Those early settlers were rugged, like the land. They had grit.

The colony began where the road from San Antonio to Nacogdoches crossed the Brazos River and extended northwest up the Brazos for 200 miles. It included most of the land between the present-day cities of Fort Worth and Austin.

The land was and is freedom. That's what we focus on here at 1825 Realty Group. We have a deep appreciation of this land. It's still open to those same promises from 200 years ago.

At our core, we believe in knowledge, commitment, service, excellence, community and respect. It's our promise to our clients. We have seen this area's evolution and know its past and how its future might affect your real estate decisions. Let us help you put down roots and create your legacy for generations to come.
